Let’s clean the Synagogue!

A work-drive was organized by the young activists of United Games of Nations to clean the interior of the Synagogue.
The clean-up was scheduled for 16th October 2004. and from 9 AM young volunteers gathered with brushes, flannels, buckets, wheelbarrows and brooms to clean up the stairways in the Synagogue. The objects that suggest the glory of the Synagogue in the past were put into a safe place instead of just flinging around. Also, the colorful floor tiles of the stairways got their beauty back after scratching the dust off them.
The work-drive was led by Mr. Gabor Demeter, associate of the Institution for Saving Art Relics.
Hopefully, this action will attract the attention of the public and raise the common concern to save this magnificent cultural heritage.
